Secure Socket Layer
Secure Socket Layer (SSL) is the standard way of transferring data securely over the Internet. It encrypts data, so that sensitive information cannot be intercepted by a third party. It is most often used to allow e-commerce transactions to be placed securely, where data like credit card information needs to be protected. For SSL to work properly, your website is required to have a digital certificate, issued by an authorized SSL certificate provider. For small business, we recommend Thawte Certification.

Although most websites don't require SSL, you have this feature available for the ones that do. An SSL certificate requires a unique IP address; we will assign IP addresses to your reseller account as needed for your SSL certificates (there is no additional charge for IP assignment, but you must have a current SSL certificate to be assigned additional unique IPs).
