|Secure Socket Layer|
|Secure Socket Layer (SSL) is the standard way of transferring data securely over the Internet. It encrypts data, so that sensitive information cannot be intercepted by a third party. It is most often used to allow e-commerce transactions to be placed securely, where data like credit card information needs to be protected. For SSL to work properly, your website is required to have a digital certificate, issued by an authorized SSL certificate provider. For small business, we recommend Thawte Certification.|
Although most websites don't require SSL, you have this feature available for the ones that do. An SSL certificate requires a unique IP address; we will assign IP addresses to your reseller account as needed for your SSL certificates (there is no additional charge for IP assignment, but you must have a current SSL certificate to be assigned additional unique IPs).
